Just dropped: the trailer for The Bear Season 4 – and it’s clear the kitchen isn’t the only thing heating up.

FX’s critically acclaimed, anxiety-drenched culinary drama is back, and the trailer wastes no time diving into the emotional and professional chaos we’ve come to expect, and obsess over. A digital clock ticking down the final 1,339 hours sets the tone: the restaurant has less than 60 days to prove it’s more than just a passion project. No pressure, right?

We see Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), still reeling from the ghosts of his past and the wounds of perfectionism, facing off against everything, from scathing reviews to a restaurant at risk of imploding under its own ambition. Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) seems poised to either break through or break apart as she questions the cost of the chaos they’re all surviving in. “It’s a problem when you let it fuel you and fuel the food,” she says, one of the trailer’s most cutting lines.

ALWAYS HAPPY TO SEE MORE MATTY MATHESON

But even as the team teeters on the edge, the trailer teases a season rich in culinary artistry. You can practically smell the ambition. We also get a glimpse at deeper character arcs: Natalie and Pete’s new baby, the return of Jamie Lee Curtis’s Donna, and a wedding? Who’s tying the knot in the middle of all this mess?

What’s especially interesting, to me, is how Season 4 feels like it’s moving toward the show’s ultimate destination: full circle. I have long believed The Bear would strip itself down in the end, shedding the fine dining dream for something more grounded. Back to a small community takeout-style restaurant, rooted in authenticity and heart, not just Michelin-star aspirations. This trailer doesn’t confirm it, but you can sense the tension pulling the story in that direction, back to basics, back to family, back to why they started this in the first place.

There’s an air of finality to the trailer, suggesting The Bear might be heading toward its endgame. If that’s true, we’re expecting heartbreak, healing, and one last service we won’t soon forget.

Season 4 drops all 10 episodes on Hulu June 25 (and on Disney+ for Aussie viewers). Set your alarms. This isn’t just TV. It’s war in a white apron.
